Explore Midjourney’s Most Unique Viewer Art Styles: Volume 10

I have a whole bunch of viewer submitted styles for you to try in Midjourney. Add these to the end of your prompt, separated by a comma, and you’ll get images like the ones I describe.

Midjourney Style Prompts: Product, Tech, and Texture Effects

Designed by IKEA

Designed by Ikea gives you a lot of Ikea furniture in the image. Pikachu turns into Pikachu-themed furniture inside a room. The Incredible Hulk becomes a green muscly cuddle object you can fall asleep with.

The Terminator comes out more like Batman, but still very cool. Goku looks like a Goku bean bag, except it’s being taken up by Goku himself. A woman’s face gets pieced together by flat-pack parts and looks different in a good way.

Prompt snippets:

  • designed by Ikea

Labubu biomechanical cyborgian

This one has a really nice transformative effect. Characters change just a little bit, then get a heavy cyborg style applied over the top.

The Incredible Hulk looks very much like a cyborg. Batman in grayscale looks cool, and the woman’s face gets a shiny 3D look that makes for a really interesting image.

Overall, it has a consistently interesting impact.

Prompt snippets:

  • laoo biomechanical cyborgian

Fractal mandel BR + bacteria art

This builds off the fractal mandal BR style by adding bacteria art and aods. It’s similar to other fractal styles I’ve shared, but it adds a slightly different spin to how the detail is presented.

You get some really interesting, trippy images. The futuristic car made out of this looks great, and the coral adds something extra. The Terminator turns into a cool skull form.

Add art inspired by amphipods for a very transformative effect.

Midjourney Style Prompts: Skeleton and Anatomy Variations

Skeletonized (US and UK spellings)

Skeletonized in the US spelling with a z gives Batman a very deceased look, like he’s done fighting crime. The woman’s face gets a cool skeletonized effect where the lips lift up like teeth.

Goku becomes a kind of Skeleton version with the hair, and Pikachu gets evil little teeth like he’s about to bite your arm off.

The Hulk gets a weird treatment but it’s still pretty cool. The samurai gets a nice skull mask on the helmet.

Skeletonised in the UK spelling with an s lands very similarly, with minor differences. Batman looks like he’s been sitting there a while and the ears become part of the skull. The Hulk looks more cybernetic.

The woman gets skull embedded in her face but keeps a normal nose, which is a nifty twist. Pikachu is a little cleaner this time. Darth Vader has lost a little weight in an interesting way, while the Terminator is just himself because he’s already a skeleton.

Midjourney Style Prompts: Coloring Book Workflows

Someone asked about prompting for coloring books. Here’s what I recommend.

Start simple

Black and white coloring book style applies a clean coloring book look. Some outputs have more detail than you’d want, but Darth Vader here looks very usable.

You can experiment for good results. With a simple style like this, it tends to do a decent job.

Prompt snippets:

  • black and white coloring book style

Children’s pages

Simple children’s coloring book gives much simpler results, like a very clean Terminator page. Not using black and white can add color into images, and even with black and white you’ll sometimes get color, but the simple children’s coloring book style tends to stay simple.

If you want coloring sheets for kids, this is probably the way to go.

Prompt snippets:

  • simple children’s coloring book

Adult pages

Adults intricate coloring book increases the amount of detail. The Hulk can get a bit too much here, so dial it back.

Goku looks very cool, and these designs are fun to color. If you really want to nail black and white, add black and white to the phrase. Overall, I get good results with it.

Genre and show variations

Manga style coloring book keeps many character interpretations similar but adds manga flair. The Hulk gets a noticeable manga touch.

The Terminator facial framing is very manga and reminds me of anime shots. Goku mid-punch looks great, and the car is framed like an anime film still.

Drawn in Simpsons with black and white coloring book style applies a clear Simpsons effect. Some pages aren’t usable, but the Hulk comes out uniquely, and Goku is different and interesting. It’s more of a style exploration, but you’ll still get some pages you can use. I recommend experimenting.

Midjourney Style Prompts: Action and Movement

Dancing

Dancing animates serious characters in a fun way. Goku looks like he’s really cutting it up. The Hulk hits the club, ripped shirt and all. Darth Vader is dancing like no one is watching. I love the Terminator with hands up in the air.

A woman’s face becomes a standard dancing photo, nicely lit in black and white, and Pikachu generally has his hands up.

Ballet dancing

Goku does a ballet movement. The Hulk explores a side of him we haven’t seen before. Darth Vader looks elegant in a dress. The Terminator has wiped out humanity and is now focusing on ballet.

Hip-hop dancing

Hip-hop dancing brings more street energy. Goku somehow has three fists, which is still a fun image. Pikachu wears a hoodie and looks very street. Darth Vader in baggy clothes works great.

The Hulk is mid-smash with twisted arms out on the street. The Terminator hits the nightclub, maybe before he went after Sarah Connor.

Prompt snippets:

  • hip-hop dancing

Salsa and belly dancing

Doing the salsa really changes costumes. Darth Vader shows up in a dress again and the Terminator is killing it on the dance floor. Goku and Pikachu get different outfits, Pikachu even gets a scarf.

Belly dancing often pushes past Midjourney’s filters. Goku comes out very built with long hair like a woman, and Darth Vader joins the set. It’s a bit wild, and the impact on characters is fun. I recommend trying it if you want crazy results.

Prompt snippets:

  • doing the salsa
  • belly dancing

Midjourney Style Prompts: Jewelry, Objects, and Wearables

As expensive jewelry

As expensive jewelry interprets characters as jewelry or being worn as jewelry. Goku’s hair becomes a necklace, which is a cool interpretation. Sometimes you just get a character wearing jewelry, like the Hulk. The highlights are Darth Vader as a necklace, a gold Terminator skull like an expensive paperweight, and Pikachu as a diamond-studded necklace.

Prompt snippets:

  • as expensive jewelry

Inspired by Diamond Jewelry

If you want to lean into diamonds, inspired by Diamond Jewelry works well. Goku and the Hulk become diamond statues. It’s a bit hard to turn the Hulk into jewelry, but Darth Vader’s helmet becomes a fancy version, and the Terminator looks like the most expensive unit Skynet ever made.

Prompt snippets:

  • inspired by Diamond Jewelry

Engagement rings and unique pieces

Simple jewelry pieces can yield unique designs. The futuristic car becomes a diamond-studded object that looks like the most expensive car ever made.

As an engagement ring is great for concepting gifts. Pop an angry Hulk face on the ring to show intensity. A little Goku face says power. A Darth Vader diamond-studded shaped ring works well too. The Terminator skull converts nicely, and even objects like cars turn into rings. One came out especially cute with a little diamond on top, probably the closest to a real engagement ring.

Prompt snippets:

  • as an engagement ring

Midjourney Style Prompts: Mascots and Branding

Sports team and NBA mascots

As a sports team mascot turns characters into sideline performers. Batman looks like a basketball mascot in baggy pants. The Hulk is off smashing on a football or rugby field. Darth Vader looks more innocent in a jersey with a logo. The Terminator is terminating baseball with laser-like focus. A woman’s face outputs more standard and innocent.

As an NBA mascot narrows it. Goku holds a basketball and looks ready to play. The Hulk looks court-ready with messy hair. Darth Vader looks like he’s about to throw the ball backward over his head for a trick shot. The Terminator is just a guy with a jacket and a ball. Pikachu wears a singlet and holds a ball.

Prompt snippets:

  • as a sports team mascot
  • as an NBA mascot

Breakfast cereal and amusement park mascots

As a breakfast cereal mascot tends to put bowls of cereal in hand. A lot of these could live on cereal boxes. I can see a Hulk cereal or a Darth Vader Dark Side crisps box. The Terminator uses hair and jacket details to imply cereal is part of the skeleton. Pikachu just eats a bowl of cereal.

As an amusement park mascot gives suit characters. Goku looks like a park mascot. The Hulk scares fun into children by jumping off roller coasters. Darth Vader is cheerfully watching and walking around. The Terminator pressures you into buying goodies or else he’ll terminate. Pikachu looks like a standard dressed-up mascot.

Prompt snippets:

  • as a breakfast cereal mascot
  • as an amusement park mascot

Cute furry mascots and branding logo mascots

Inspired by a cute furry mascot turns people into furry, often cat-like creatures. The Hulk looks very unhappy but it’s a cool image. Darth Vader gets a cute cat side. The Terminator becomes a cool terminating pup in sunglasses. Pikachu remains Pikachu. With the futuristic car, you get a little furry mascot in the car.

A branding logo mascot creates nice vector-style mascots most of the time. Expect simple solid shapes, thick outlines, and a vectorized look. You could pop these into a vectorizer and use them as vector graphics. A woman’s face becomes a very simple near single-color logo with lighter eyes. The Hulk gets a bit of texture behind him. Pikachu comes out surprisingly cool and clean.

Prompt snippets:

  • inspired by a cute furry mascot
  • a branding logo mascot

Midjourney Style Prompts: Patterned, Tiled, and Artist-Driven Looks

Bao Bao Issey Miyake and tessellating tiles

Bao Bao Issey Miyake with tessellating tiles creates a consistent effect. It looks great on a woman’s face, and the metallic side makes the Terminator more interesting. Batman in simplistic yellow on black looks cool.

Removing tessellating tiles and using Bao Bao Issey Miyake alone gives different results, with a slightly angular effect that modifies the subject in a unique way. It can take on a bit of a paper mache look that’s a lot of fun.

Using just in the style of tessellating tiles is a little flatter, but you can clearly see images made of tiles. It’s fun and does a decent job. The futuristic car built in pieces is a nice touch.

Prompt snippets:

  • Bao Bao Issey Miyake, tessellating tiles
  • Bao Bao Issey Miyake
  • in the style of tessellating tiles

Rube Goldberg and Heath Robinson

In the style of Rube Goldberg gives a mixed bag of parallel styles. I often get more cartoony outputs, and sometimes the inventor-engineer side creeps in. The car is especially fun in this style.

In the style of Heath Robinson is a hidden gem. It has a very consistent look from image to image and adds interesting elements around the character. The Darth Vader outputs are excellent, the layout is great, and the Terminator looks unique. Definitely check out Heath Robinson if you want something special.

Prompt snippets:

  • in the style of Rube Goldberg
  • in the style of Heath Robinson

Midjourney Style Prompts: Motion and Feathered Accents

Hyperlapse style

Hyperlapse style has a zoomy effect on many images. Goku and Darth Vader show strong motion lines. The Terminator sometimes breaks the pattern, like staring at a pile of flames. The Hulk gets a zoom feel in a different way, and the futuristic car gets another type of zoom effect. Pikachu can come out a bit different, but you get the idea.

Prompt snippets:

  • hyperlapse style

Feather folio style

Feather folio style adds feathers. Batman looks feathered, but they’re actually little bats. Pikachu gets feathers in a unique way. Darth Vader never disappoints with feathers coming out of the helmet. The Terminator gets feather-like hair, and a woman’s face picks up feather accents nicely. It modifies characters in a charming way.

Prompt snippets:

  • feather folio style

  • Generate, then tweak phrases or add an extra descriptor if you want to push the effect.

Final Thoughts

These viewer-submitted Midjourney style prompts range from product vibes and cyborg overlays to coloring books, dance motions, jewelry concepts, mascots, tiled patterns, artist-inspired looks, and motion or feathered accents. Most of them have a consistent, recognizable impact on characters and objects while still letting your subject come through.
